Legal cannabis sales are expected to exceed liquor sales in Canada. And it’s going to happen within just two years!
CIBC – one of Canada’s biggest banks – estimates that annual cannabis sales will top C$6.5 billion in two years.
That’s over 800,000 kilograms – or 1.7 million pounds – of legal weed.
That’s more than the $5.1 billion Canadian’s spent on liquor in 2017.
Recreational use will account for 95% of legal weed sales, it is estimated.
